Covers background concepts (eye movement types, VR tracking methods, data quality, calibration), then organises applications into seven areas — display and rendering, user interaction, collaborative virtual environments, education/training/usability, security and privacy, marketing/consumer experience, and clinical — followed by technological, privacy/security and safety challenges. Compiled in full into [[eye-tracking-in-virtual-reality]]; the VR-specific complement to the head-worn XR survey in [[gaze-interaction-in-extended-reality]] (Plopski et al., 2022). Large PDF (6.15 MB): text extraction succeeded (searchable text, not image-only), so `ocr_status: ok`. The PDF carries no cover-sheet offset but the article is mid-volume: PDF p. 1 = printed p. 1481, so orig. page = PDF page + 1480.
